KATHMANDU: Prime Minister K P Oli has defended his government’s performance while reiterating his claim of bringing about positive changes in the country.
“Be assured, the country will see a positive change, a change that will bring happiness among the people,” PM Oli said claiming that his government was working day and night to make things right.
PM Oli reiterated that any obstacles coming up in the course of constitution implementation would be gradually addressed.
He also assured that the constitution could be revised. “Nepal’s democracy is broader and it has been able to bring back several extremist thoughts and institutions into the mainstream. Those who have deviated from the way, I urge them to join the mainstream without delay,” PM Oli said.
“Nepal’s democracy is broad and comprehensive able to accommodate all sections and thoughts within its framework,” he said referring to some instances that have succeeded in bringing what he said “extremists” within the constitutional parameters and mainstream politics.
Addressing on the occasion of the fourth Constitution Day at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel on Friday, PM Oli reiterated that the government was prepared to resolve any differences or impediments while implementing the constitution on the basis of consensus.
In his address, PM Oli also emphatically mentioned some of the achievements that have been made during his tenure.
