Plane with 59 onboard catches fire during emergency landing



NEW DELHI: Jaipur-bound Alliance airplane with 59 people onboard made an emergency landing at the Delhi airport on Monday after it was forced to turn back due to nose landing gear problem and caught fire, Indian media reported.

The aircraft took off and landed back at the Delhi airport just a few minutes later. The aircraft caught fire at the time of emergency landing, Zee News reported.

The Alliance Air flight — 9X 643 — made an emergency landing at the Delhi airport due to a problem in the nose landing gear and some material failure, a spokesman said.
