US concerned over Nepal’s immigration security

KATHMANDU: The US government has expressed serious concerns over immigration security and security arrangements at airports in Nepal.

The US showed concern over Nepal’s immigration security taking account of terror attack in Sri Lanka, open border with India and increased activities of North Koreans in Nepal, Annapurna Daily reported.

It has stressed that Nepal needs to install immigration software with biometrics. Nepal government had decided to install such software for immigration check some two years ago. But, the decision is yet to be implemented.
