Death toll reaches eight in Trishuli bus plunge



DHADING: The death toll of Trishuli bus plunged has reached eight. The accident took place when a bus, Na 7 Kha 4387, en route to Kathmandu from Kakadvitta of Jhapa plunged into Trishuli river at Banchhetar of Gajuri rural municipality-6, Dhading district.

The deceased have been identified as Sita Thapaliya, 35, of Chandragiri municipality, Bishal Giri, 20, of Kanyam, Raj Kumar Subedi, 5, of Thankot, Raj Acharya, 43, of Dhading, Prakash Shrestha and Shekhar Magar, said Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Gajuri, Hemraj Ghimire.

Similarly, the identities of two others have not been ascertained yet.

Twenty-nine people were injured in the incident and they are undergoing treatment at Primary Health Post, Gajuri, Gajuri Hospital, Adamghat Hospital, Galchhi Hospital and Kathmandu-based Trauma Centre and Mediciti Hospital.
