10, 267 police personnel quit in six years



KATHMANDU: The number of police personnel resigning from the post due to dissatisfaction has been on the increasing trend.

A total of 10, 267 police personnel have quit their jobs as per the statistics of the last six years maintained by the police.

Nepal police personnel top the list of numbers among those quitting the government jobs.

Police personnel resigning from the jobs range from the lowest level (police constable) to the Deputy Inspector Generals.

Former DIG Ramesh Kharel had resigned from his post expressing dissatisfaction over the appointment after Sarbendra Khanal was picked as the police chief of Nepal.
