Nepal, India officials to hold border security talks from Wednesday in Pokhara

KATHMANDU: Nepal-India Border Security Meeting is going to kick off from Wednesday in Pokhara.

The three-day meeting which will begin on Wednesday will be discussing related to security squad from both the countries prioritized to minimize the criminal activities in the border areas, border crimes and import-export of illegal goods.

In the meeting, the representatives from the Ministry of Home and Ministry of Foreign Affairs represent the Nepal side whereas the Indian team will be represented by the officials from the Border Security Force.

Nepali Security forces will be led by Shailendra Khanal, the IGP of Nepal Armed Police, and Rajesh Chandra, the Director-General of Indian Border Security Force will represent India.

According to Baburam Pandey, AIGP of Nepal Armed Police, the Nepali team will consist of 10 persons whereas the Indian team will consist of  6 persons.

The meeting is said to be a regular meeting.
