KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 600,000 has been gutted by fire at Chandaul of Kathmandu on Tuesday morning.

A house belonging to Bimala Adhikari caught fire due to a short circuit, according to the police.

Two shops operating at the house on rent have also been damaged in the incident.

Fire engines and locals doused the fire. An investigation into the incident was underway, police said.
