CIAA can probe Pathak corruption case: OAG



KATHMANDU: The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) on Monday responded to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, saying that the watchdog can investigate Raj Narayan Pathak, the CIAA commissioner, a report in The Kathmandu Post said.

The apex advisory body to the government gave the CIAA the go-ahead, clearing its dilemma whether to initiate investigations into CIAA commissioner Pathak.

Pathak had resigned on Friday to dodge impeachment over allegations of  a multi-million rupee bribery scandal.
