Portuguese national arrested with drugs from TIA

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a Portuguese national with drugs from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Friday afternoon.

The arrested is Mendes Pereira Tiago (passport number: 7201292). Police said he was arrested with 4.380 kg ice amphetamine during a security screening. The drugs were concealed in different boxes.

He was arrested while heading to Japan from Katmandu thru New Delhi, India. The drugs fetch millions of rupees in the international market.
