12 injured in Bajura jeep accident airlifted to Nepalgunj

BAJURA: The injured of Bajura jeep accident have been rescued by helicopter.

A total of 12 people were injured when a jeep, Ka 1 Ja 21, heading toward Jitegada of Kalikot from Piluchour of Jagannath Rural Municipality of Bajura skidded off the road on Friday morning.

Chief District Officer of Bajura, Ganga Prasad Neupane, said that 12 critically injured have been rescued by a chopper of the Nepal Army. The injured have been rescued by helicopter in the coordination of Home Ministry of the federal government.

Uvajung Bahadur Shahi, 82, Rajendra Bahadur Shahi, 17, and Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, 18, of Khatyad rural municipality of Mugu district were injured in the accident, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bajura, Uddhav Singh Bhat.

Similarly, the condition of Lalbir Chadar, 55, of Himali rural municipality-4 of Bajura district, is serious and has been airlifted to Kohalpur Medical College, Nepalgunj, for further treatment.

The jeep driver Ramesh Bogati, 26, of Tikapur municipality-4 of Kailali district and Ram Bahadur Shahi of Khatyad rural municipality-6 of Mugu died on the spot in the accident, said police.
