Engineer arrested with Rs 50,000 bribe

MALANGAWA: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Ram Bahadur Yadav, engineer of Ramnagar Rural Municipality, with Rs 50,000 in bribe from Sarlahi district.

Acting on a tip-off, an anti-graft team from CIAA, Baridbas arrested Yadav for taking bribe from service seekers for approving a project completion report on the installation of electric lines in the rural municipality.

Yadav was held with Rs 50,000 in bribe from Ashoka Hotel based in Malangawa.
