Nepal records 20% growth in remittance

KATHMANDU: The remittance inflows in the country has increased by 20 per cent, according to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) report. The NRB shared that remittance increased by 19.6 per cent in the country, reaching Rs 725 billion. In the previous ten months, the remittance was upped by seven per cent.

The outflow of the people for foreign employment as per the labour permit record declined by 36.6 percent in the last ten years. In the previous year of the same period, the out flux was declined by six percent.

Similarly, the NRB data analysis showed that mountainous region witnessed much price hike. The inflation reached 6.1 percent in the mountainous region.
