Home Minister Thapa directs for result-oriented activities



KATHMANDU: Ram Bahadur Thapa, minister for Home Affairs, has directed the Armed Police Force personnel to carry out result oriented activities.

He issued directives to the APF Deputy Inspector Generals, transferred as State Brigadier General, at the Home Ministry today.

Minister Thapa urged them to work with full responsibility to maintain peace and order in the country. “Carry out your duties in a result-oriented manner. Pay special attention to maintaining law and order, border security, disaster management as well as to check smuggling at border checkpoints and revenue leakage, the responsibilities given by the state to the APF,” he said.

The Home Minister also suggested them to maintain friendly relations with the local people.

Similarly, Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai urged them to make necessary plan for disaster management of the respective state as monsoon is likely to begin soon.
