Update: At least five killed in Trishuli bus plunge



KATHMANDU: At least five persons were killed when a passenger bus veered off the road and plunged into Trishuli River at Gajuri-6, Bancharetar of Dhading on Sunday morning. Of them, four died on the spot while one died on the way to the hospital.

Some 29 passengers have been injured in the accident.

The bus, Na 7 Kha 4387, was heading to Kathmandu from Jhapa when it met with the fatal accident, police said.

Locals joined by Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force carried out the rescue work. The reason behind the accident is not yet known.
