Ministry of Water Supply preps to export water

KATHMANDU: Ministry of Water Supply on Friday held an interaction on exporting water from Nepal to the international market.

The ministry organized the interaction on exporting glacier and spring water from Nepal to decrease the trade deficit of the country.

Addressing the interaction, Minister for Water Supply Bina Magar said that her ministry was working to ensure purified water to all Nepal by 2030 and export water. She added ministry was exploring possibilities of exporting spring and glacier water from Nepal.

“Our first priority is to ensure essential drinking water to all Nepalis and exporting glacier and spring water to the international market after purification,” she said, “We can compete in the international market.”
