HoR endorses Foreign Investment Bill

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday endorsed the Foreign Investment and Technology Handover Bill, 2075.

Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Matrika Prasad Yadav had presented a proposal seeking passage of the bill at the HoR.

The proposal was passed by a majority. The bill has been introduced with an aim to attract foreign (direct) investment (FDI) to strengthen the country’s economy as well as to increase domestic production.

Likewise, the bill also provides the government the ground to make necessary legal provisions in considering of the investment summit taking place in Kathmandu on March 29 to 30.
