Prez Bhandari appoints four non-residential ambassadors

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Wednesday appointed residential ambassadors of three countries and a resident representative of the United Nations as non-residential ambassadors to various countries.

Nepal’s Ambassador to Malaysia Uday Raj Pande has been named non-residential Ambassador to Brunei and Thailand’s Ambassador Ganesh Prasad Dhakal to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

Likewise, UN Resident Representative Amrit Bahadur Rai has been named for Ecuador and Canada’s Ambassador Bhrigu Dhungana to Cuba.

The appointments were made on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers in line with Article 282 (1) of the constitution.
