Biratnagar defeats Pokhara by 45 runs in PPL



POKHARA: Biratnagar Titans defeated Pokhara Paltan by 45 runs in the Pokhara Premier League (PPL) T20 match played here on Wednesday.

Chasing down the 146-run posted by Biratnagar, Pokhara managed to get only 100 runs on the board losing all wickets in 19.5 overs.

Rohit Poudel top-scored for Pokhara at 32 runs as Kushal Bhurtel contributed 24 runs.

Kishore Mahato of Biratnagar grabbed three wickets. Jitendra Mukhiya and Muhammad Zaid Alam took two wickets apiece.

Earlier invited to bat first after losing the toss, Biratnagar scored 145 runs on the board losing five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Punnet Mehra top-scored for the team at 61 runs off 26 balls hitting five fours and four sixes. Sunil Dhamala and Muhammad Zaid Alam scored 36 and 26 runs respectively.

Sharad Vesawakar of Pokhara grabbed two wickets.
