NSU organizes torch rally against border encroachment; 21 arrested

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress-affiliated Nepal Students Union (NSU) organized a torch rally in Balaju of Kathmandu protesting the encroachment of Nepali territory by India and China.

Police intervened in the rally that started from Balaju-Bypass Chowk and arrested 21 students near Machhapokhari this evening.

Students demanded that the encroached upon land be returned at the earliest.

The arrested students have been kept at the Balaju Police Circle.
