World Cup Qualifiers: Nepal taking on Kuwait on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: Nepal is taking on Kuwait at a joint qualifier of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 on Tuesday.

To be held at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, Nepal is determined to beat Kuwait in a revenge for the past defeat inflicted by the opponent.  The match will begin at 2:45 pm (according to Nepali time).

Coach of Nepali football team Johan Kalin said the match between Nepal and Kuwait is important and closely looking at Kuwait’s playing strategy.

“This game is important. We are planning to regain our past glory,” said Kalin during a conference, adding, “I am focused on our payers. Our team is upbeat to win the match.”

Nepal’s captain Kiran Chemjoing is confident that his team will defeat the opponent.
