LUCKNOW: An unidentified group of attackers murdered the leader of Hindu Samaj Party Kamlesh Tiwari in Lucknow on Friday.

According to information, the group slit his throat and fled the scene. Tiwari died in a hospital, Indian media reports have said.

The incident occurred in the Lucknow-based Khurshid Bagh office of the Hindu Samaj Party.

The murderers entered the office, and they were offered tea. The group attacked Tiwari after having tea in his office with sharp-edged weapons, according to the police.

The police have recovered a country-made pistol and cartridges from the scene. Police have initiated a manhunt for the murderers, reports have said. (Agencies)
