Sunita walks out free after a week-long detention



RAJBIRAJ: Sunita Sah, who was detained for a week from last Friday in Rajbiraj for voicing against women trafficking to China, has been released on Friday.

Sah, who is the Saptari District Chairman of Inter-Party Women Network, was released by Kathmandu District Administration Office, Kathmandu on a bail bond of Rs 5,000.

Upon her arrival following the release, she was welcomed by her relatives, locals and human rights activists in Rajbiraj.

Sah was arrested from her residence in Rajbiraj-6, Kharsaltol on November 24. The Metropolitan Police Circle, Kathmandu had filed a case against her.
