Seven held for raping 13-year-old girl



BIRENDRANAGAR: Police have arrested seven individuals for their alleged involvement in raping a 13-year-old girl in Surkhet district.

The arrested include Lal Bahadur Rawat, 23, Mahesh Hamal, 19, Tarka Rijal, 19, Sudip Khadka, 18, of Birendra Municipality-3, Dhan Bahadur Khatri, 23, of ward no 4, Roshan Oli, 23, and Naresh Budha, 21, of Barahatal Rural Municipality-2, said DSP Ravi Rawal of District Police Office, Surkhet.

Police said they are investigating the case by taking them on a 10-day remand from the court.

The assailants had raped the victim on October 2, 3 and 10 in turns, according to the complaint lodged at the police station by the victim.
