KATHMANDU: Senior Chinese Communist Party leader, Song Tao, is arriving Nepal on a two-day visit on September 21.

Head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Tao will arrive in Kathmandu at the invitation of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), according to Bishnu Rijal, Deputy Chief of the International Relations Department of NCP.

During the visit, the Chinese delegation led by Tao will hold separate meetings with President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister KP Oli, NCP co-Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, among others.

Tao is also scheduled to hold talks with Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Tao’s Nepal visit is aimed at further strengthening ties between Nepal and China, Rijal said.
