Indian security forces launch grenades to foil Pakistan infiltration bid

NEW DELHI: Pakistan has mobilized several Border Action Team (BAT) soldiers and terrorists close to the posts opposite to multiple locations along the Line of Control (LoC) near Keran, Uri, Mendhar, Poonch, and Naushera sector, Indian media reports have said.

Pakistan SSG has also been deployed in the areas, reports said.

Several infiltrations attempts have been made past months while a couple of specific instances of BAT action were foiled by Indian security forces.

Reports said a video of an attempted infiltration by the BAT teams was recorded on September 12-13 in Hajipur. In the video, BAT teams can be seen trying to infiltrate while Indian forces hit back with grenades. (Agencies)
