Illegal structures demolished in Nagarkot



BHAKTAPUR: The Chagunarayan Municipality, Bhaktapur on Sunday demolished several illegal structures constructed on the roadsides in Nagarkot.

The demolition drive was implemented following a joint decision of the local government, District Administration, police administration and Forest Office.

Illegal structure owners clashed with the police when the latter reached the site to demolish the illegal houses and huts. Police had to resort to baton charge to disperse the crowd.

The huts owners also burnt tires.
