Man kills wife by slitting her throat



GORKHA: A man murdered his wife by slitting her throat with a khurpa in Gorkha municipality-9 in the district on Saturday night, said the police.  Local resident Yakul Pariyar, 20, killed his wife Puja Pariyar, 19, said Superintendent of Police Om Adhikari.

“A police team acting on information by the villagers reached the incident site shortly. The incident took place around 10 pm. Puja already died when the team reached,” he said. The police have held the murderer.

According to a preliminary investigation, Yakul has been taking medicines for mental problems, he said, adding that further investigations were ongoing. Puja’s body was kept at the district hospital for a postmortem.
