Oppn lawmakers register proposal of public importance in NA

KATHMANDU: Lawmakers of the opposition parties, including main opposition Nepali Congress (NC), have registered a proposal of public importance in the National Assembly (NA) arguing that the Upper House should take information on relief and rescue activities of the flood, landslide and inundated areas, and provide necessary instruction to the government.

While NC lawmaker Radhe Shyam Adhikari registered the proposal, lawmaker Badri Prasad Pandey of NC and Brishesh Chandra Lal of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal seconded it.

They have also notified the NA to hold a discussion on public importance issue as per Rule 66 of the NA Regulation, 2075.
