Prez Bhandari presents awards



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari presented awards to the winners of the National Poetry Festival organized by the Nepal Academy amidst a function here on Tuesday.

While awarding the awards President Bhandari said that the literature has an important role to change the society for the better.

She also said the policymakers could also benefit from the literature that gives a real touch to the Nepalese’ hearts and mind.

At the program held at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, President Bhandari handed over the awards to  Bhulman Bal and Sunita Khanal who came first and second, and Menuka Chapagain and Alina Dulal, who came joint third in the poetry festival.
