One dead, 30 hurt as buses collide

HETAUDA: One person was killed and 30 others were injured when two buses collided today at Basamadi of Hetauda-3 along the East-West Highway.

A passenger bus, Na 7 Kha 936, en route to Janakpur from Kathmandu and a bus bound to Kathmandu from Pashupatinagar, Ilam, collided resulting in the death of the driver of the second bus. The deceased is identified as Man Bahadur Magar, 40, of Barahi Rural Municipality, Udyaypur.

Among the injured, three are being treated at the Chitwan-based Medical College (Old); some have returned home following primary treatment while others are being treated at Hetuda.
