Army man dies while fleeing confinement



CHITWAN: A Nepal Army (NA) person apprehended by the police this morning for an offense died while trying to escape from the confinement.

The deceased Ram Kandel, 28, of Ichchhamanakamana rural municipality-5 was associated with the NA Bardha Bahadur Battalion in Sindhuli.

He was severely injured in his failed attempt to flee from the police confinement by jumping from the veranda of the temporary police beat at Fisling of Ichchhamanakamana rural municipality-3, according to the police report.

Police said he had disputes with them as the later intervened when he tried to misbehave with a woman while returning home from a local religious Ichhakamana fair.

He died in course of treatment at Bharatpur Hospital on Sunday morning, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dan Bahadur Malla.
