Kenyan tourist dies in Nepal

KATHMANDU: A Kenyan tourist has died in Solukhumbu district in eastern Nepal on Sunday.

According to police, Kenyan national Gobind Lakhman, 33, died in the district after falling ill at hotel ‘Mero Guest House’ in Mahakulung Rural Municipality-1, Thangne.

Seven other tourists who checked in at the hotel have been taken ill.

District Police Office, Solukhumbu said that the dead body, seven ill tourists and a travel guide were sent to Kathmandu through the choppers of Kailash Air and Air Dynasty at around 6 am today.

The choppers made an emergency landing in Kavre due to bad weather.
