GORKHA: Central Chairman of Socialist Party Nepal and Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav has reminded that his party had joined the government on a condition of constitution amendment.

DPM Yadav said this at a program organized to announce the district unification of Nayashakti Party Nepal and the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal here today.

“There is no point in sticking to the government if the government fails to fulfill the condition the party set while joining it,” he said, expressing worry that no initiative was taken to amend the constitution.

The party needs to share the fact before the people. He, however, said it was not good to ascertain that the government would not amend the national charter.

The Chairman further admitted that the present communist-led government failed to deliver as per people’s expectation.

According to him, it was natural that people placed huge hope on the government on which we too joined.
