Nepali Congress expresses sorrow over demise of Sundas

KATHMANDU: Nepal Congress has expressed sorrow over the demise of Lakhkhi Devi Sundas. She was 85.

Sundas had played a spectacular role in establishing the National Congress and conduction of its first assembly held in Kolkata India in 2003 BS in course of institutionalizing the party.

Issuing a message on Saturday, NC chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel extended condolences to the bereaved families.

Sundas was the representative to the congress from Darjeeling.
