NVC urges public post holders to submit property details

KATHMANDU: The National Vigilance Centre (NVC) has asked public post holders to submit their personal property details.

According to Dalnath Aryal, information officer at the NVC, the center has urged all individuals holding public posts to submit their property details as per the Clause 50 of Corruption Prevention Act-2059 BS within the next 60 days beginning Wednesday – the first day of the current fiscal year.

This provision is applied to government employees, civil servants, teachers, and security personnel. The NVC will receive all the details through the fixed channel. For instance, the district coordination committees and local governments will collect all the details and sent to the center through the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.

It should be noted that a total of 17,127 people had failed to submit the property details in the fiscal year 2074-75 BS. According to Aryal, only 50,478 employees had submitted the details.
