KATHMANDU: Indian registered vehicles entering Nepali territory without paying tax has gone rampant in the Nepal-India bordering areas of Siraha district affecting revenue collection, said the district customs office.

However, the police are finding it hard to check this illegal entry of Indian number plate vehicles as those riding such vehicles illegally in Nepali territory have a connection with the people in power, said a police official.
