NepaliSat-1 to be released into orbit today



KATHMANDU: NepaliSat-1, Nepal’s first satellite, will be released into orbit from the Kibo Module of the International Space Station (ISS) on Monday.

The nanosatellite weighing 1.3 kilos was launched from the Virginia Space’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in the United States on April 17.

It has been in the ISS since one and half month and will be released into the Earth’s orbit at 4 pm today.
