Dhakal asks PM Oli to nominate him to NA

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Nepal Pariwar Dal, Ek Nath Dhakal, has sought Prime Minister K P Oli’s support for his party’s representation in the federal parliament.

Dhakal met Prime Minister Oli at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar and ‘reminded’ the PM about the three-point agreement signed between his party and the then CPN-UML during the parliamentary and provincial elections. The then UML had then agreed to nominate Nepal Pariwar Dal in the parliament for its support to the UML in the elections.

Baluwatar sources said Dhakal insisted that Prime Minister Oli nominated him to the National Assembly.

Prime Minister Oli is learned to have assured Dhakal of taking the matter to the party secretariat. Dhakal, meanwhile, has said he would also draw the attention of Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal in this regard.
