Dharahara reconstruction hits a snag

KATHMANDU: Locals have obstructed the reconstruction of Dharahara demanding to reopen a closed path.

According to the project manager of Dharahara Reconstruction Project Shyam Chandra Shrestha, the reconstruction works have been halted following obstruction from the locals.

Dharahara Reconstruction Project said that they are in a conversation with National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) and Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers to address the demands of the locals.

Some 13 percent reconstruction works of the historically and archeologically significant tower has been completed till date.
