When minister allotted Rs 240 mln to mayor son

KATHMANDU: Minister for Social Development of Province 2 Nawal Kishor Sah has disbursed Rs 240 million to the Hanuman Municipality of Saptari district where his son Shailesh Kumar is the mayor.

The budget, which originally was meant for education and health, was allotted for the miscellaneous expenses.

The ministry had allotted Rs 700 million for education and health toward the end of the current fiscal.

Both father and son had been elected as minister and mayor respectively representing Rastriya Janata Party Nepal.
