PPL: Expert Dhangadi sets 118-run target for Biratnagar

KASKI: Expert Dhangadi Blues has set a 118-run target for Biratnagar Titans  in the first match of the Pokhara Premier League (PPL) underway at Pokhara Stadium on Monday.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Expert Dhangadi made 117 runs in the allotted 20 overs, losing eight wickets.

KS Airee made highest 26 not-out runs including two fours and two sixes off 21 balls, SA Wijeyeratne collected 25 runs including four fours and one six off 25 balls while RA Thomas contributed 16 runs off 13 balls.

In reply, Biratnagar’s Shahab Alam grabbed three wickets giving away 30 runs in 4 overs, Noman Khan too two wicket conceding 25 runs while Muhammad Zaid Alam, P Mehra and K Mahato claimed1 wicket each of Expert Dhangadi.

Two cricket games are taking place under the PPL in Pokhara today. Earlier, Dhangadhi had defeated Biratnagar by 78 runs in the last edition of the PPL.

The second match between Butwal Blasters and Kathmandu Goldens will start at 1 pm.
