NCP, NC condole Sindhupalchowk bus mishap victims



KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) have expressed sorrow over the Sindhupalchowk bus accident that has left 15 people dead and 18 injured.

NCP Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in a letter of condolence, has offered his condolence to the dead and the bereaved families. He also wished for speedy recovery of the injured people and demanded that the government manage ‘decent’ compensation to the affected families and free treatment to the injured.

Likewise, a meeting of NC central working committee extended its condolence to the dead and to the bereaved families. Wishing for speedy recovery of the injured people, the NC also demanded that the government manage treatment for them.

A bus transporting pilgrims back to Bhaktapur from Kalinchowk Temple skidded off the road and fell some 100 meters into a river at Six Kilo along the Dolakha Khadichaur-Jiri road in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-7 in Sindhupalchowk district on Sunday, killing at least 15 passengers and injuring over 16.
