Dhangadhi Airport to be partially closed from Sunday

DHANGADI: To execute the maintenance and upgrading activities of the runway, Dhangadhi Airport will be closed partially from Sunday.

In-charge of Dhangadhi Airport Tej Bahadur Budha Thapa informed that owing to the maintenance starting from Sunday, the airport would remain closed from 3 pm to 7 pm for a month.

The blacktopping of the runway was initiated in June; however, it was postponed again only after completing 420 meters out of 1800 meters. Thapa added that the Civil Aviation Authority was also planning to complete the overlay work left before.

The closure is likely to affect the flights from Dhangadhi to Kathmandu.
