Huge cache of arms and ammunition found



BANKE: Dang Police has recovered a huge cache of  arms and ammunition allegedly stored by Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav group.

Acting on a tip-off that outlawed Biplav outfit had kept a huge amount of arms and ammunition at a cow shed in  Gadhawa Rural Municipality and Shivanagar border area, police recovered five sets of short machine guns, 13 sets of magazine and 390 round of bullets.

A special joint squad deployed from District Police, Dang and Area Police Office, Gadhawa found arms and ammunition in a red suitcase in an empty cow shed in Shivanagar Municipality on Friday evening, SP Janak Bhattarai said.

Police have been keeping a close tab on Bipalv activities following information that the outlawed group is importing arms and ammunition into Nepal from India.
