Cricket Association of Nepal’s polls on Sept 27-28

KATHMANDU: The elections of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) have been slated for September 27-28.

An agreement to that end was reached following a meeting among the officials of National Sports Council (NSC), International Cricket Council (ICC) and an independent committee.

To sort out the differences over the elections, ICC representatives had arrived in Nepal on Sunday.

ICC representatives Imran Khawaja and Amar Sheikh on Monday met NSC Member Secretary Ramesh Silwal and Legal Advisor of the independent committee Rajeshwor Shrestha.

NSC Member Secretary Silwal said the agreement to hold the elections in free, fair and disciplined manner was reached following the meeting.
