Nepal’s One-China policy stressed



KATHMANDU: The International Conference of Forum on the Development of Tibet China highlighted the need for taking measures to promote its historic, cultural, and touristic importance.

In the conference that concluded in Tibet, China autonomous region, participants from several countries lauded the ‘Open Tibet’ concept initiated by the Chinese government aimed at exploring the importance of several areas of Tibet.

The concept, they argued, will contribute to spread the importance of Tibet. Publicity department deputy minister Jiang Jianguo of the Chinese Communist Party stated that the Chinese Government had been calling the world community to study and explore the real situation of Tibet in the past and at the present.

Meanwhile, Jiang highlighted the importance of Nepal-China relations saying that both countries should endeavor for further consolidating the bilateral ties.

Meanwhile, Dr Rajiv Jha spoke on behalf of Nepal saying that Nepal has always committed to the one-China policy.

Stating that China has always remained a good friend of Nepal for ages, Jha emphasized the need for Nepal to take maximum benefit from China adding that the relations between the two neighbors have been gaining a new height in recent times.

In the program organized by the State Council Information Office of China, a total of 76 people from 38 countries took part.
