Trump likely to propose overhaul of immigration laws

WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump is set to propose an overhaul of immigration laws, media reports have said.

The laws will favor applicants who can speak English, and are well educated, officials said.

The plan, however, would require support from Democrats to pass the U.S. Congress, according to reports.

The law does not include measures to address undocumented immigrants who are already living in the United States. (Agencies)
