Rains, flash floods kill 5 in Afghanistan



HEART: At least five people were killed and 17 others went missing after heavy rainfall and flood in Afghanistan’s western province of Heart, media report said.

The casualties were reported after a flash flood engulfed vast areas in the province sweeping away tens of residential houses.

The rescue team began operation in the affected districts, where nearly 100 households have so far been shifted to safe areas, the report added.
