NEW DELHI: Indian legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has pledged to donate Rs 1 crore to the families of the Pulwama martyrs, Indian media reported.

Adinath Mangeshkar said that Lata Mangeshkar will donate the money from her personal account to the NGO Bharat ke Veer, which works for India’s ‘brave-hearts’ under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Some 40 CRPF personnel were killed when a suicide bomber drove an explosive-laden vehicle into a bus in Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir in February.

Likewise, the Mangeshkar family and friends will be donating an additional Rs 11 lakh to the families of the BSF jawans. (Agencies)
