KHOTANG: A person has died while 14 others sustained injuries when a passengers bus met with an accident at Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-7 in the district.
The deceased has been identified as Praja Bahadur Rai, 32, of Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-7, Dorpachiuridanda.
Critically injured Rai passed away while being rushed to Khotang District Hospital.
The accident took place when the ill-fated bus, Na 4 Kha 7411, was heading to district headquarters Diktel from Kathmandu. A total of 15 people including driver and co-driver were traveling in the bus, said DSP Raj Kumar KC of District Police Office, Khotang.
Seven among those injured have been taken to TU Teaching Hospital, Kathmadu while others are undergoing treatment at Diktel. The bus skidded off and fell some 15 to 20 meters down the road.
The accident took place at around 11 pm yesterday.
